All kids misbehave sometimes but some children and teens face particular challenges that go beyond mischief and rebellion. Understanding that there can be many root causes for these negative patterns of behavior, we are pleased to be able to offer expert diagnosis and treatment to help your child to function better at home and at school. We help families with children (from toddlers to teens) who struggle with mental, physical, emotional and behavioral difficulties.
At Little Stars Children’s Clinic our pediatric behavioral medicine specialists don’t just offer talk therapy, though we certainly do that—we take a science-based approach to caring for the whole child.
We apply the principles of psychology within the context of other health-related issues that a child may be facing. We evaluate all the factors that may be at play, including depression, anxiety, stress, school troubles and even medical disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, crohn’s disease, cancer, asthma or diabetes. We provide consultation services to both medical and subspecialty in neurology, psychiatry, gastroenterology, pulmonology, hematology/oncology, nephrology and cardiology.
Services Offered:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy – Helping patients understand the thoughts and feelings that influence their behaviors
  • Behavior modification – Working with parents and caregivers to develop behavior modification or management strategies
